Detoxing of the Mind, Body, and Spirit

Understanding the Power of Kambo

Kambo is the secretion of the “giant green monkey tree frog” that has been used for thousands of years by indigenous tribes in the Amazon to heal and strengthen the mind, body, and spirit, to clear panema (bad luck), and to improve hunting abilities. For the past decade or so, Kambo has found its way out of the jungle and into the minds and hearts of people worldwide looking for alternative forms of relief and potential healing.

Those Powerful Peptides

Kambo contains many bioactive peptides. Since these peptides are basically chains of amino acid that perform a specific and positive biological function, our bodies recognize Kambo as a natural substance and open up at the cellular level with no stress to our cells. These peptides help loosen plaque buildup that can cause heart disease due to diminshed blood flow. Similarly, the peptides in Kambo help to shed dirt, fat, and dead skin from our pores so that our skin can breathe the way it is designed to. Most importantly, these peptides help eliminate all toxins that clog and diminish our organs, offering a deep and thorough body cleanse.

Kambo: The Ordeal

Many consider Kambo to be an “ordeal” medince, which is why it is not for the faint of heart. One must be committed to the process and to their own personal and spiritual growth. While Kambo does require a person to go though a purging process, there is much healing that happens on spiritual, emotional, and physical levels offering balance, clarity, and cleansing for the mind and body.

Once the Kambo secretion is applied directly to the lymphatic system through gates that are burned on the skin, a series of uncomfortable bodily and mental effects begin to occur immediately and last anywhere from 10-40 minutes or so. Hence, the “ordeal.”

It is essential to meet the frog half way by surrendering to the experience and mentally overcoming any fear, hesitation, or uncertainity. Just trust in Kambo, in your practitioner, and in yourself.

About Your Practitioner

Melisa Dubé is an IAKP Certified Kambo Practitioner who is located in northern Arizona and serving Kambo throughout the state. She fell in love with Kambo during her first session several years back. That love turned into a calling to work more closely with the frog secretion, to hold space for those seeking its healing potential, and to build community and relationships with like-minded people looking for alternative modes of potential healing. Humbled by the intelligence of Kambo and the enormous healing it has brought her, Melisa attended intensive training with the International Association of Kambo Practitioners (IAKP) to learn about the safe facilitation of Kambo. From there she has never looked back. Melisa is enjoying living her dream of working with Kambo and helping people find some inner peace by releasing that which no longer serves them.

Kambo has been an integral part in Melisa’s personal healing. Building a strong relationship with the spirit of Kambo and respect for its powerful healing potential, she has found a greater sense of self—a happier, fuller self. Experience with sacred plant medicines in conjunction with Kambo has helped Melisa approach each Kambo session with integrity, compassion, and understanding.

Melisa is located in northern Arizona and serves Kambo in Prescott, Sedona, Flagstaff, Phoenix, Scottsdale, and surrounding areas. She also serves and travels throughout the Four Corners region. She facilitates Kambo to individuals, couples, and small circles; and she offers basic, and more specialized Chakra, Meridian, and Auricular treatments.
